Terms of Service for the Credit Boost and Financial Literacy Academy (CBFLA)

1. Introduction Welcome to the Credit Boost and Financial Literacy Academy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in our program and our provision of services to you. By enrolling in the CBFLA, you agree to these Terms.

2. Program Description CBFLA provides educational resources and personalized counseling to help participants improve their creditworthiness and personal finance skills. The program includes credit checks, budget assessments, strategic financial planning, and credit monitoring.

3. Participant Authorization and Responsibilities

  • You authorize CBFLA to send payments on your behalf and negotiate collection settlements.

  • You must maintain minimum payments on existing debts, including installment and revolving accounts.

  • Opening new credit lines without prior consultation and approval from CBFLA may result in forfeiture of your enrollment fee.

  • You authorize CBFLA to correct errors and remove outdated information from your credit profile, open new installment accounts, and add you as an authorized user on revolving accounts to enhance your credit score.

  • You authorize CBFLA to access your credit information, including data from third-party credit monitoring services.

4. No Guarantee of Results While CBFLA aims to improve your credit score and financial literacy, we do not guarantee specific results. Success depends on various factors, including your financial situation and commitment to the program. You may cancel your participation at any time.

5. CBFLA's Rights CBFLA reserves the right to terminate your participation in the program at any time.

6. Misrepresentation and Fraud You agree to provide accurate and truthful information about your financial situation. Any misrepresentation or fraudulent activity may result in immediate termination of your participation in the program.

7. Breach of Contract In case of a breach of these Terms by either party, the non-breaching party shall have the right to terminate the contract and seek appropriate legal remedies.

8. Unauthorized Practices CBFLA adheres to state and federal laws governing credit counseling and financial advisory services. We expect the same compliance from our participants.

9. Negligence and Liability CBFLA shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by your negligence or failure to follow program guidance. Our liability is limited to the provision of services as outlined in these Terms.

10. Compliance with Laws CBFLA operates in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws. We are committed to ethical and legal practices in all aspects of our services.

11. Unfair or Deceptive Practices We strictly prohibit any unfair or deceptive practices. Participants engaging in such practices will face immediate termination and possible legal action.

12. Breach of Fiduciary Duty CBFLA maintains a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of our participants. Any breach of this duty by our counselors or staff will be addressed seriously and may lead to disciplinary action.

13. Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in the CBFLA program shall be resolved through binding arbitration, as per the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Modification of Terms CBFLA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the program after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
